Twitter has announced its updates to the retweet feature for its users. From today, users will be able to use Photo Video and GIF files instead of just text when retweeting a tweet.
This new feature is getting all the Twitter mobile users on iOS, Android and mobile websites. However, this feature is yet to be brought to the desktop version of Twitter. Now users will be able to add photos, videos or GIFs to tweets apart from text to react when sharing a tweet.
Twitter said the feature was easy, but it took longer than expected because it was challenging to differentiate between a real tweet and retweet. This is because media files are now used in both of them. To solve this problem, we put the original tweet in a small box and gave full space for media files.
